About the Position

Payroll Accounting Lead відповідає за повний цикл розрахунку виплат для співробітників компанії: від збору первинних даних (табелі, накази, лікарняні, відпустки) до нарахування, утримання податків, формування виплат і звітності перед державними органами. На початковому етапі співробітник(ця) також братиме активну участь у побудові процесів і документації payroll-функції, яка раніше велась на аутсорсі. Планується розбудова внутрішньої функції з нарахування заробітної плати з формуванням команди бухгалтерів, яку очолить цей співробітник(ця).

Responsibilities

Building Processes

• Participation in the implementation and automation of HRIS/payroll-system
• Development and documentation of operational processes for calculation and accrual
• Interaction with the finance department regarding accounting and posting methodology
• Formation of the own team and management of the payroll accounting department

Payroll Calculation

• Monthly payroll accrual, bonuses, allowances, and additional payments for 400+ employees
• Calculation of sick leave, vacation, maternity leave, dismissal, and compensation upon dismissal
• Calculation for part-time, overlapping, part-time work, overtime
• Calculation of deductions: personal income tax, military tax, ESC, alimony, and other deductions according to executive documents

Personnel Accounting Related to Payroll

• Processing of personnel orders (hiring, dismissal, transfer, salary change) and their correct reflection in the calculation
• Work with electronic sick leave certificates
• Accounting and control of vacations, including calculation of vacation reserve
• Preparation of bonus orders
• Preparation of withholding requests according to internal policies

Reporting and Communication with Government Agencies

• Formation and submission of consolidated reports (4-DF + ESC)
• Interaction with the Pension Fund, tax, statistical authorities
• Preparation of income certificates for employees
• Consultation of employees on accruals

Payments

• Formation of payroll registers for payment through the bank
• Reconciliation of paid amounts, control of timeliness of payments (three times a month)

Requirements

• Experience working as a payroll accountant for 5+ years
• Experience working with a company with 200+ employees
• Experience managing a payroll accounting department/team
• Experience in implementing or migrating a payroll system
• Experience working in an outsourced accounting or auditing firm - will be an advantage
• Experience in preparing for an audit in the payroll part

Skills

• Deep knowledge of Ukrainian labor law regarding wages
• Knowledge of the procedure for calculating personal income tax, military tax, ESC, including benefits and special cases
• Understanding of the calculation of average wages (sick leave, vacations, maternity leave)
• Understanding of the peculiarities of martial law affecting labor relations (mobilization, reservation, leave for military personnel)
• Understanding of accounting entries for wages (accounts 66, 65)
• Confident use of 1С ЗУП or BAS (mandatory)
• Experience working with M.E.Doc or similar reporting systems
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, working with large data sets)
• Experience with electronic document management systems
