Responsibilities
As a Payroll and Benefits Analyst, you will support accurate and compliant payroll and benefits administration for employees in the Philippines. You’ll play an important role in delivering payroll services, administering benefits programs, and helping employees navigate payroll and benefits processes. Your work will help ensure compliance with local regulations while contributing to a positive employee experience.
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities for the Philippines, including data validation, payroll calculations, timekeeping review, and post-payroll audits
- Ensure payroll activities comply with Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, statutory contribution requirements, and company policies
- Perform payroll reconciliations, variance reviews, statutory reporting, and payroll data analysis
- Resolve payroll inquiries and issues, escalating complex matters when needed
- Process off-cycle payments, adjustments, and corrections while maintaining established controls
- Partner with payroll vendors and internal teams to support timely payroll delivery and issue resolution
- Support Finance with journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including HMO, insurance, government benefits, and leave administration
- Reconcile benefit invoices, statutory contributions, and employee leave balances to ensure accuracy
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, audits, and compliance initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of experience supporting payroll and benefits administration in the Philippines
- Working knowledge of Philippine labor laws, Department of Labor and Employment regulations, Bureau of Internal Revenue requirements, and statutory benefit programs
- Experience using payroll systems such as Workday or similar platforms
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliations
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement
Nice to Have
- Experience working with third-party payroll providers
- Knowledge of payroll accounting, journal entries, and general ledger processes
- Experience supporting internal or external audits
- Familiarity with payroll controls, compliance monitoring, and risk mitigation practices
- Experience administering HMO, insurance, and statutory benefits programs
- Knowledge of government loan applications, claims processing, and benefit reimbursements
- Experience analyzing payroll trends and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reporting
- Experience documenting payroll and benefits procedures
- Background supporting payroll and benefits operations in a multinational organization
