About the Position
Join XDA as a PC Components Author to create high-quality content on PC hardware and components. XDA is the leading authority on computing, DIY tech, and PC hardware, reaching millions of readers with up-to-the-minute news, authoritative reviews, and deep-dive tutorials.
Responsibilities
- Research and write original buying guides, tutorials, and news specifically related to PC components and hardware.
- Extract the core of a story quickly to deliver informative and timely reports in a fast-paced environment.
- Pitch unique, reader-obsessed article topics to our Editorial team regularly.
- Input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines.
- Stay up to date on the latest PC hardware news, products, and updates.
- Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.
- Follow XDA’s general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in writing and editing technology content in the English language.
- Relevant PC building skills and experience are mandatory.
- Expert knowledge and broad familiarity with PCs and PC parts (CPUs, GPUs, Motherboards, etc.).
- Ability to think analytically; providing insightful commentary that applauds or criticizes industry developments.
- Proficiency with SEO practices and experience using a custom CMS.
- A self-starter attitude with a passion for staying ahead of the tech curve.
