About the Role

The People Business Partnership function serves as a trusted advisor for consultants and management on people management topics, aligning business objectives with people strategies within a designated Business Unit.

As a People Business Partnership Manager at SPD Technology, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior business leaders, helping shape organizational success through effective people strategies and leadership excellence. You will build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, proactively identify organizational needs, and translate business priorities into scalable people initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

You will lead strategic people initiatives across your Business Unit, including workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, employee engagement, and change management. Leveraging people analytics and business insights, you will influence key decisions, identify organizational risks, and ensure effective execution of core people processes.

As a trusted advisor, you will coach managers through complex people challenges, foster a high-performance culture, promote psychological safety, and ensure a consistent, transparent, and engaging employee experience while balancing business objectives with people needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Leadership: Act as a strategic advisor to Directors, Senior Managers, and Business Leaders, aligning people strategy with business objectives, influencing organizational decisions, and supporting leaders in solving complex business and people challenges.
  • Partner with Clients: Develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders, proactively understand their business needs, advise on people-related topics, support workforce planning and organizational changes, and ensure a consistently high-quality people experience for both consultants and clients.
  • Drive Organizational Effectiveness: Lead organizational design initiatives, support business transformation, optimize team structures, and identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, collaboration, and business performance.
  • Lead Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy: Partner with business leaders to develop workforce plans, succession strategies, internal mobility initiatives, and talent development approaches that support long-term business growth.
  • Lead Organizational Change: Drive complex organizational change initiatives by developing change strategies, communication plans, stakeholder engagement approaches, and adoption activities while minimizing organizational disruption.
  • Leverage People Analytics: Analyze workforce data, engagement results, turnover trends, and business metrics to identify risks, provide actionable insights, and support data-driven business decisions.
  • Govern Performance & Compensation Processes: Ensure effective execution of performance reviews, promotions, compensation planning, and talent calibration processes while maintaining consistency, fairness, business alignment, and compliance with company policies and local labor legislation.
  • Drive Employee Experience: Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives, analyze organizational health, identify improvement opportunities, and partner with leaders to build action plans that strengthen employee satisfaction, retention, and overall experience.
  • Coach & Develop Leaders: Coach managers and senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, performance management, employee development, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and organizational leadership practices.
  • Manage Employee Relations & Organizational Risks: Lead complex employee relations cases, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, organizational changes, and sensitive people matters while ensuring compliance, fairness, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage a People Business Partners Team: Lead the People Business Partners team by setting priorities, providing coaching and performance feedback, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, Legal, Operations, Security, and other People functions to deliver integrated people solutions and continuously improve employee experience.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve People processes by leveraging technology, AI tools, and best HR practices while contributing to the continuous evolution of the People function.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience within a dynamic software development environment.
  • 2+ years of team management experience (up to 5 people).
  • Proven experience partnering with Directors, Senior Managers, and business leadership as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Proven experience collaborating with clients as a trusted People partner, aligning people initiatives with business priorities and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business priorities into effective people strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational design, workforce planning, organizational development, and change management.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, investigations, and organizational risk management.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting workforce data and translating insights into business recommendations.
  • Experience driving employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of compensation and performance management processes.
  • Strategic understanding of modern HR technologies, AI tools, prompting, and workflow automation applied to People operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (minimum B2).

  • Professional coaching certification (e.g. ICF).
  • Experience supporting technology organizations through periods of rapid growth or transformation.
  • Deep understanding of software development organizations, engineering team structures, and IT business models.
  • Experience implementing employee experience or organizational development initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Experience working with HR analytics, organizational effectiveness frameworks, and modern People technologies.
