We are seeking a People Operations Manager to join our team in London, focusing on building out People Operations in the UK and working closely with our teams as a partner to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring Strategy and Recruitment:

    • Anticipate and fulfill all talent requirements across all teams.
    • Define organization needs, post job ads, and manage the selection process.
    • Actively headhunt to bring in top talent and ensure best cultural and skills fits for the company.
    • Use data to inform realistic hiring goals and support operational teams.
    • Liaise with senior management to ensure hiring timelines and strategies match the company’s plans for growth.
  • HR Operations & Employment Law:

    • Oversee day-to-day people operations, including payroll, benefits, time off, contracts, and compliance.
    • Own the management of payroll and company software.
    • Collaborate with People and Legal teams on employment law matters and compliance management.
    • Partner with functional People teams on benefits programs, compensation strategy, and HR-related matters.
    • Act as the first point of contact and support for employee changes and day-to-day HR support.
    • Advise management teams on people-related strategy and decisions, including organizational design, planning, compensation, and team building.

Requirements

  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliable, and well-organized.
  • Ability to exercise discretion at all times.
  • Able to prioritize, work autonomously, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong representation of Lalamove’s four core values: Passion, Grit, Humility, and Execution.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree and a Master's degree in HR or a similar field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in HR, ideally gained in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK’s labor regulations, HR operations, and local/regional recruitment specifics.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Native or at least business-level proficiency in English.
