Performance Engineer (JMeter, K6)

The company develops secure, scalable solutions used by millions of players across multiple European markets, combining modern engineering practices with cloud technologies, AI-driven analytics, and high-performance distributed systems.

We're looking for a Performance Engineer who enjoys finding system bottlenecks before customers do. This role goes far beyond executing load tests - you'll help build a mature performance engineering practice by designing performance frameworks, improving test infrastructure, analyzing complex performance issues, and working closely with development teams to continuously improve system scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated performance tests for large-scale applications
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to optimize application scalability
  • Build and maintain performance testing frameworks and infrastructure
  • Prepare and present performance test reports with actionable recommendations
  • Review code and performance-related changes following engineering best practices
  • Support deployment and troubleshooting of performance testing environments
  • Develop supporting automation scripts and tools
  • Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, DevOps and Security teams throughout the SDLC

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial experience as a Performance Engineer or Performance Test Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, Gatling or NeoLoad
  • Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, bottleneck analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Experience testing REST and/or SOAP services
  • Ability to write code or automation scripts using Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience planning, estimating and executing performance testing activities
  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Docker, Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Ansible or similar)
  • Linux administration and deployment experience
  • DevOps mindset
  • Open-source contributions
