About the Position

We are seeking a PHP Developer to maintain and extend an existing codebase supporting eCommerce transactions, information retrieval, and warehouse operations. You will work with MySQL across query analysis and DBA tasks, collaborate with Project Management and QA on requirements and estimation, and troubleshoot and debug defects across web-facing systems built in PHP with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is a 6-month contract engagement with EST timezone overlap required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend an existing codebase of PHP code which touches on information retrieval, e-commerce transactions, and warehouse operations.
• Work with the Project Management and Quality Assurance team by participating in requirements evaluation, time and complexity estimation, and stakeholder reviews.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and debug defects in code and related systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in PHP Development
• MySQL skills and experience ranging from query analysis to DBA experience.
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript – there is a focus on programming for the web.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithmic complexity.
• Advanced English level.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel.
• Working experience with Bootstrap.
• Experience working with React.js.
• Experience driving development cycle (e.g. Jira, Github Actions, K8s, etc).
