About the Position
We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer with extensive experience in modern PHP 8+, Laravel, Symfony, and Joomla to join our team for remote contract roles.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services
- Write clean, maintainable code
- Collaborate with frontend team
- Implement full Okta SSO integration
- Develop InDesign plugin for automating PDF export presets
- Build a Laravel Cashier-style wrapper for dual-payment processors
- Take ownership of a Laravel-based loan and payment platform
- Build and ship meaningful product features on a Laravel/MySQL platform
- Extend and harden a PHP platform for medical imaging analysis
- Finish building out and expanding a REST API for a travel marketplace
- Rebuild a SIP carrier platform-as-a-service with a modern React frontend and PHP backend
- Build custom web applications and platforms for financial institutions
- Build a secure payment processing platform with Stripe integration
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial PHP experience
- Modern PHP 8+ fluency (types, attributes, enums, readonly, OOP patterns)
- Strong knowledge of Laravel, Symfony, and Joomla
- Experience with AWS and MySQL
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Stripe API, and Okta API
