PHP Team Lead Developer

About the Position

Hexa is seeking a PHP Team Lead Developer to join our team. We need an effective manager who is ready to take responsibility and organize the work of the entire department (7 employees). The candidate must understand that the lion's share of a team lead's skills is related to workflow management and organization. The rest is the application of your technical knowledge. The team lead heavily monitors, checks, delegates, communicates with subordinates, motivates them, and helps them develop professionally. Below is more specific information on requirements and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing a development team of 6 people
• Evaluating task completion and conducting code reviews
• Working with QA during the creation of the testing plan
• Deploying complex functionality
• Refining and maintaining existing projects
• Developing new projects from scratch

Requirements

• 3-5 years of programming experience
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, understanding and application of OOP principles
• Excellent knowledge of design patterns
• Proficiency in one of the modern frameworks, such as Angular/Vue/React
• Experience with relational databases (preferably MySQL); ability to write and optimize SQL queries
• Experience in designing and developing services from scratch
• Experience in developing REST APIs, understanding the features of synchronous and asynchronous interactions
• Git, code review, TDD, refactoring, CI/CD
• Experience with Redis, Memcached
• Experience in mentoring and knowledge transfer within the team
• English language – Intermediate is desirable

Nice to Have

• Experience with frameworks (Yii2, Slim)
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of other programming languages
