PHP Tech Lead

About the Position

We are seeking a PHP Tech Lead with 8+ years of experience in PHP and Laravel to lead the technical strategy of Alcor OS. This role is fully remote and based in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery for Alcor OS: Scope the work, sequence it realistically, and inform us early if something is going to slip.
• Own production health: Ensure reliability, performance, security, and manage technical debt.
• Set the technical bar: Mentor, unblock, and have a say in hiring as the team grows.
• Direct reporting and close cooperation with the COO.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or Architect, owning architecture decisions.
• 8+ years writing PHP professionally, with real depth in Laravel.
• Comfortable with Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and Event Sourcing.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent).
• Strong relational data modeling in MySQL and comfort modeling aggregates and domain events.
• A real testing discipline (TDD/BDD, PHPUnit or equivalent) end to end.
• GitHub-based CI/CD workflows.
