Planner / Senior Planner (Customer Order Planning)

Responsibilities
- Serve as the main interface with customers, ensuring effective internal coordination in addressing issues.
- Manage customer orders.
- Analyze sales forecasts with the sales team.
- Analyze customer demand and customer pull patterns for inventory control at the plant and external warehouse.
- Minimize overhanging materials.
- Maintain, check, and ensure the accuracy of demand loading in SAP for MRP run to fulfill customer requirements based on priority.
- Prepare production schedules with the objective of:
- Adhering to BPS principles.
- Meeting customers’ demands and achieving 100% daily attainment.
- Optimizing the utilization of manufacturing resources (e.g., minimizing set-up or conversion losses).
- Controlling inventory accuracy.
- Tracking daily schedule vs. production actual output.
- Attend daily operation meetings on critical supply materials.
- Coordinate raw material issues with the LOP Procurement Planner in affected Value Stream.
- Coordinate common raw material issues with the SMT Value Stream Manager.
- Set priorities with the operational logistic section on the movement of finished products for timely shipment.
- Coordinate shipment arrangements with counterparts.
- Engage in strategic planning to minimize special premium costs (e.g., change of ship mode) to support situational requirements.
- Work on special freight claims and OT (overtime) claims due to customer short lead-time pull-in requests.
- Prepare reports such as Delivery Performance, Attainment report, etc., as and when needed.
- Support activities related to Bosch Production System (BPS), e.g., Supplier Kanban, Production Kanban, Leveling, and EPEI for continuous improvement.
- Work together and support each other within LOG.
- Support and work towards achieving the departmental goal.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Escalate customer order fulfillment issues that affect a single Value Stream (Level 1).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related working experience, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to take on ad-hoc assignments or projects as necessary.
- Understanding of the impact and consequences of own actions.
- Related working experience in order management and production planning functions in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Data management and tracking skills.
- Decision-making strength is essential.
