About the Position

Plant Environmental Safety & Health Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Environmental Safety & Health Leader to join our team at AUMOVIO's new greenfield manufacturing plant in New Braunfels, TX. This role is pivotal in ensuring the implementation and continuous improvement of all site programs for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Play a leading role in the permitting processes with authorities, ensuring compliance with legal and internal regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct occupational safety checks, utilize risk assessment methods, and develop safety analyses and emergency preparedness plans.
• Waste Management: Manage the site's systematic waste management system, ensuring compliance with hazardous waste and transportation regulations.
• Health and Safety Programs: Lead efforts to develop and implement health and safety awareness programs, focusing on accident and occupational sickness prevention.
• Safety Management System: Define, control, and ensure the application of the Safety, Health, and Environment management system elements, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Emergency Management: Participate in the site Emergency Management system to ensure swift and effective responses to incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of Environmental, Health, and Safety (ESH) experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Skills:
  • Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines for Health and Safety, Environmental, and Life Safety Codes.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams).
  • Project management experience.

Nice to Have

• Advanced Education: Master’s Degree.
• Certifications: CSP, CIH, CHMM, CEM, OSHA 30/50, ISO internal auditor certifications.
• Experience:
  • Greenfield manufacturing, plant startup, or plant expansion environments.
  • Leading ESH teams or cross-functional groups.
  • Industrial hygiene monitoring, fire protection systems, or security operations.
  • EHS software (SafePulse).
  • Analyzing ESH data and preparing dashboards/reports.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for risk assessment, audits, or training.
