Responsibilities

As a Platform Engineer Manager, you will lead a team of skilled Platform, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professionals, enabling the successful delivery and operation of critical platform services.

In this role, you will play a key part in evolving the platform, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring reliability and availability remain core priorities. You will translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, remove delivery roadblocks, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers across the full employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, development, retention).
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong capabilities across platform engineering, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.
• Remove roadblocks to enable efficient delivery of high-quality platform solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Technology leadership to strengthen engineering effectiveness.
• Align team output with business priorities and company mission.
• Drive organizational agility and support adaptation to evolving market conditions.
• Contribute hands-on to the platform using technologies such as.NET Core, C#, Node.js, AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda), Akamai Cloud, CDNs, Cassandra, Kafka, and NATS.

Requirements

Technical Skills (Must have):

• 10+ years of experience within SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Proven track record of delivering high-availability services.

Soft Skills:

• Strong people leadership with a focus on team development, engagement, and performance.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver results.
• Experience managing organizational change in fast-paced environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid technical expertise within platform engineering.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
