Platform Engineer (.Net & AWS)

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in .NET and AWS to join our team in Romania. You will focus on backend development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, working on exciting projects in an environment that values innovation, fosters continuous learning, and promotes excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs using .NET, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with development teams to continuously improve the reliability and stability of the platform.
• Automate repetitive processes and optimize CI/CD workflows to improve development and delivery processes.
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices with Pulumi.
• Manage and optimize AWS Cloud services, with a focus on ECS and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and enhance observability solutions using Elasticsearch and Grafana for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Participate in the on-call rotation using PagerDuty, providing support for critical incidents.
• Define, test, and maintain Disaster Recovery plans to minimize downtime and protect critical data.
• Apply and advocate for security best practices in development and operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with .NET backend development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (ECS, RDS/PostgreSQL, IAM, S3, VPC, etc.).
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, preferably with.NET).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Elasticsearch; Prometheus is a plus).
• Proficiency in AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance practices.
• Familiarity with Disaster Recovery and High Availability strategies.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Experience with incident management tools (PagerDuty or equivalent).
• Practical experience with CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• A continuous improvement mindset and strong collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• .NET programming skills.
• AWS or DevOps certifications.
• Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
