About the Role

As a PMO Project Coordinator, you will support and gradually grow into a Project Manager role within DNV’s Project Management Office (PMO). You will work on technical consultancy projects in the energy transition domain, closely supporting experienced Project Managers and technical consultants.

This role is ideal if you have experience as a PMO, project coordinator or document controller and want to take the next step toward full project responsibility in a consultancy environment.

What you will work on

In this role, you will initially focus on project coordination and control, while developing project management skills step by step.

In the PMO / project coordination phase:

  • Supporting Project Managers on technical and multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Maintaining project planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitoring progress, risks, dependencies, and actions.
  • Supporting stakeholder communication with engineers, consultants, and clients.
  • Contributing to structured and transparent project governance.
  • Helping improve PMO tools, templates, and ways of working.

Growing into a Project Manager role:

  • Gradually taking ownership of smaller projects or sub‑streams.
  • Learning to manage scope, planning, budget, and quality.
  • Gaining client-facing experience with TSO and DSO customers.
  • Developing leadership skills in a technical consultancy context.

Projects typically relate to power grids, transmission & distribution, energy transition programs, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Your background:

  • Around 3–5 years of experience as a PMO, project coordinator, document controller, or similar role.
  • Experience in a technical, engineering, consultancy, or infrastructure environment.
  • Affinity with energy, power systems, or the energy transition.

Your skills and mindset:

  • Structured and detail‑oriented, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and parallel tasks.
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to ask questions.
  • Interested in developing towards full project management responsibility.
  • Fluent (native or near native) in the English and Dutch language. Besides English, Dutch is essential. You will be working on Dutch projects and with our Dutch-speaking clients.

Nice to have (not mandatory):

  • Experience with TSO / DSO projects.
  • Initial exposure to project planning, cost tracking, or contracts.
  • Project management certification (Prince2, IPMA, PMP).

We Offer

  • A meaningful role contributing directly to the energy transition.
  • A structured growth path from PMO to Project Manager.
  • A professional consultancy environment with diverse projects and clients. Strong focus on learning, development, and internal mobility.
  • Hybrid working and flexible arrangements.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • An inclusive and collaborative culture.

Your growth path at DNV

We explicitly support your development toward a Project Manager position, through:

  • On‑the‑job coaching by experienced Project Managers.
  • Structured training and certification opportunities.
  • Increasing responsibility over time.
  • Exposure to complex consultancy projects in the energy transition.

Your development path will be aligned with your experience, strengths, and ambitions.
