About the Position

Does Power BI hold no secrets for you? Do you get energy from building high-quality reports, translating business needs into smart BI solutions, and working with data? Then you might be our new BI Expert within our Data & AI team! As a Power BI Expert, you combine your expertise in Power BI with knowledge of data modelling, SQL, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric. You help our customer turn data into clear and actionable insights and ensure that end users can make the most of the available BI solutions.

Responsibilities

Engage with the customer to translate business needs into high-quality, user-friendly BI solutions
Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they are closely aligned with the needs of end users
Develop visually appealing, high-performing, and easy-to-understand dashboards
Translate functional and technical requirements into clear and high-performing BI solutions
Responsible for data modelling, applying principles such as Kimball modelling
Use SQL to access, analyse, and prepare data for reporting purposes
Work within a Microsoft data environment, using technologies such as Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric
Guide and support end users and provide training on Power BI and reporting
Work closely with business and technical stakeholders and translate complex data challenges into understandable solutions
Keep up with the latest developments within the Microsoft BI and data landscape and have plenty of opportunities to further develop your expertise

Requirements

Several years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, with a strong focus on Power BI and report development
Strong knowledge of Power BI and experience in developing and optimizing reports and dashboards
Experience with data modelling and familiarity with Kimball modelling
Good knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Azure and, preferably, Microsoft Fabric
Strong communication skills and comfortable providing training and supporting end users
Analytical mindset and able to translate business needs into concrete BI solutions
Flexible, independent, customer-oriented, and a strong team player
Able to communicate professionally in both Dutch and French
Knowledge of or experience in the energy sector is considered a strong plus
Flexibility towards travel as you will work regularly on site at the customer
