Responsibilities

As a Powertrain intern, your day-to-day tasks will vary but could include the following:

• Working with the Bosch calibration team on new vehicle development.
• Support calibration team in calibrating and validating work packages (Air path, Diagnostics, Injector, etc.).
• Support troubleshooting and testing for calibration activities at customer site.

Requirements

• Studying for a relevant undergraduate or master's degree and required to take a placement as part of your course (Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering background preferred).
• This is an engineering role, with a strong focus on automotive development.
• Knowledge/interest in automotive powertrain.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Ability to organize own work and work autonomously.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Additional Information

This is a 12-month internship beginning in June 2027. This position is open to undergraduate students who are eligible to partake in a work placement as part of their university course.

Location: You will be based at the Basildon office.

As an Intern at Bosch, you will participate in an exclusive learning and development programme called the BUILD Programme designed to support you through your internship journey. It includes a mixture of in-person and virtual sessions on topics including Effective Communication and Leading Myself provided by expert external trainers.

Interview Process and Right to Work Information

Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview by the hiring team and/or an online assessment center.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
