About the Position

Hey, are you looking for an exciting internship where you can gain valuable insights into the world of Technology Scouting & Exploration in an international company? Then we have just the right opportunity for you!

For the Architecture and Network Solutions (ANS) department with a focus on Technology Scouting & Exploration, we are seeking an intern (m/w/d) starting in March 2027 for a period of at least 4 months to support our team in Regensburg.

Responsibilities

• Research, analysis, and evaluation of current and future technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Full Stack Development, Mobile Applications, UI/UX)
• Identification of technology trends and derivation of action recommendations
• Comparative evaluation of tools, frameworks, or platforms based on defined criteria (maturity, scalability, integration capability) to support decision-making for internal projects
• Conception and prototypical implementation of trends in the form of Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs)
• Structuring of research topics including objectives, timelines, and documentation
• Preparation and presentation of results to the supervising team
• Exchange and coordination with subject matter experts within the department
• Documentation and creation of a final results report

Requirements

Are you wondering if you are suitable for the internship in the Architecture and Network Solutions (ANS) department with a focus on Technology Scouting & Exploration? Here are the key qualifications we are looking for:

• You are studying in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Applied Research in Engineering Sciences, Computer Science, or Intelligent Systems Engineering, so that you bring fundamental aspects of our area of responsibility
• You should be familiar with MS Office and have good knowledge of the common programs
• Good knowledge of modern software architecture and web / mobile technologies is necessary for us
• You should have basic knowledge of Java, Python, and AI / Machine Learning
• If you already have knowledge of C++, Embedded Software, and Web Design, that would be great
• Fluency in German and English in speech and writing is absolutely necessary for us

In addition to these technical requirements, we are also looking for certain characteristics and skills:

• You are a person with high commitment and ability to work independently, a lot of initiative, and a quick understanding, and you can get excited about many topics
• You possess analytical and structured thinking
• You feel curiosity and enthusiasm for new technologies
• Communication skills in presenting results are advantageous
• Creativity is natural to you and helps you find unconventional solutions
• You are independent, goal-oriented, and structured and know how to work effectively without losing sight of the big picture
• Highly developed communication skills and teamwork are particularly important to us - after all, we always have to work together on solutions

Applications from students of various technical disciplines are expressly welcome. The specific topic will be determined individually according to the technical orientation of the students and the requirements of the department. A final thesis is possible by agreement.
