About the Position
Praktikant*in im Bereich Financial Markets
Join Commerzbank as a Financial Markets Intern and gain hands-on experience in trading, structuring, and quantitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Deep Dive Trading: Learn the daily operations of currency and interest rate derivatives from market observation to execution.
- Structuring & Pricing: Support the modeling and pricing of customized product solutions for institutional and corporate clients.
- Quantitative Analysis: Evaluate relevant market information, analyze risk parameters (Greeks), and derive trading recommendations.
- Digitalization & Automation: Drive the modernization of our processes by optimizing and automating internal tools and workflows (especially using Python).
- Networking: Work closely with adjacent developer, sales, and back-office teams to build a valuable cross-functional network.
Requirements
- Academic Background: (Expected) completed Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable STEM field with a quantitative focus.
- Tech Stack: Very good programming skills in Python (ideally experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy & PyTorch); affinity for automating data analysis.
- Finance Mindset: Very good financial mathematics understanding; initial insights into derivatives or capital markets are a clear plus.
- Personality: Methodical and structured working style, quick comprehension, and the ability to maintain a cool head even in a dynamic market environment (resilience).
- Languages: Fluent in German and very good English skills for the international market environment.
