Pre-sales Technical Expert

About the Position

We are seeking a Pre-sales Technical Expert (part-time) to join our team in Lviv, Ukraine, or remotely. This role involves leading technical discussions, proposing optimal solutions, and collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Join pre-sale calls with potential clients to gather technical and business requirements.
• Analyze client needs and propose optimal technical approaches and architectures.
• Create high-level solution concepts based on modern technology stacks.
• Prepare effort estimates and work closely with engagement managers on detailed proposals.
• Own and validate technical parts of RFPs, proposals, and project planning documents.
• Collaborate with internal tech teams to verify feasibility and capacity when needed.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and assess their fit for various project needs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with a.NET backend or Node.js focus.
• Experience in pre-sales, architecture design, or technical consulting roles.
• Ability to estimate full solutions across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of system design, architectural trade-offs, and scalability principles.
• Hands-on knowledge of full-stack development (e.g.,.NET + JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – fluent English is a must.
• Critical thinking, ownership mindset, and a collaborative, pragmatic approach.
• Experience with AI implementation in projects.
• Willingness to explore new technologies and experience utilizing C4 model / UML.
• Experience utilizing C4 model.
• Experience with diagramming software like MS Visio / draw.io.
• Prior experience working with engagement or sales teams in an IT services company.

Nice to Have

• Experience working as a Solution Architect or participating in complex discovery phases.
• Experience with Java, Python, Go, or other modern programming languages is a plus.
• Understanding core UML diagrams.
