Responsibilities

As a Principal Solution Architect (m/w/d), you will be deployed in challenging Civil & National Security (CNS) projects.

• You are responsible for designing and describing all solution architectures with system-wide complexity.
• In the presales phase, you support sales and the consulting department in positioning Atos' entire Defence portfolio to our national customers up to the management level.
• You convince with your experience and technical skills. You quickly recognize the customer's wishes and goals and outline initial suitable architectural concepts.
• You always have an eye for the overall solution from all necessary trades.
• In the offer phase, you support our projects as the Solution Design Authority (SDA). As SDA, you are responsible for developing the requirement-compliant, system-wide solution design and calculating the work packages necessary for implementation.
• You are responsible for sizing the solution (hardware/software including costs) in collaboration with the department's specialists.
• You create the corresponding contributions for the offer and present the overall architecture at offer presentations internally and to customers at the management level.
• In the realization phase, you work as the responsible architect in the projects or the department's overall portfolio, developing the requirement-compliant and guideline-compliant overall architecture based on the solution design.
• You make necessary architectural decisions within the project or department.
• In project meetings, you represent the solution design, the overall system design, and the overall architecture to the customer at the management level.
• Additionally, you are responsible for creating architectural guidelines for the CNS department's projects and for leading the department's architecture board, where all relevant architectures are presented and approved.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business Informatics with extensive professional experience or a vocational training degree with extensive professional experience and corresponding expertise and specialized knowledge in the described environment.
• You have in-depth knowledge of various architectural approaches (especially cloud architectures) and system architecture modeling.
• Ideally, you have a certification as a project manager (e.g., PMI or Prince II).
• You possess a high degree of customer orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, intuition, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as a focus on results and quality.
• Project-related travel is a matter of course for you.
• You always keep the costs of decisions in mind.
• With your fluent German and English skills, you are a competent contact person for our customers.
