About the Position

We are seeking a Principal Consultant to lead digital delivery initiatives with a focus on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) planning, implementation, and support. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of technology and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement and manage digital solutions that support engineering, environmental and infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration and administration of CMMS/EAM platforms (e.g., Trimble Unity/Cityworks, Maximo, IFS Cloud, Hexagon EAM) tailored to utility assets.
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules based on asset criticality and lifecycle.
  • Integrate CMMS/EAM solution with GIS, SCADA, ERP, and mobile inspection tools.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for asset performance and maintenance compliance.
  • Manage CMMS/EAM-related projects including system upgrades, data migration, and process redesign.
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, field operations, IT, and compliance teams.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with utility regulations (e.g., EPA, NERC, FERC).
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the practice.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals and client strategy meetings.

Requirements

  • A minimum total of 10 years of related experience with CMMS/EAM platforms in a utility environment. Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function.
  • 5+ years of experience with water/wastewater systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of utility asset lifecycle, maintenance strategies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and training skills.
  • Master’s degree in GIS, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with electric distribution/transmission, gas distribution/transmission systems.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms (e.g., Esri), SCADA systems, and mobile data collection.
  • Knowledge of asset condition assessment, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and ISO 55000.
  • Experience in digital transformation or EAM modernization projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Industry certifications are a plus (e.g., PMP, EAM Technical certifications).
