About the Position
We are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to join our IT Engineering team in Warsaw, Poland. This role is pivotal in building, developing, and maintaining backend applications and integrating them with group solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop architecture based on architectural standards
- Program solutions in the GSP cloud environment
- Integrate systems with group solutions on a private cloud
- Collaborate with analysts, business units, developers, other technology units, and local/group architects
- Provide technical supervision over internal and external developers
- Prepare task decompositions for the team in collaboration with analysts
- Prepare scripts for deployment changes and CI/CD automation
- Handle support requests according to the application support process (production, test environments)
- Analyze emergency situations and system errors, participating in the troubleshooting process
- Monitor, optimize, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure based on technical documentation
Requirements
- Experience with Java 11+, Spring Framework (Spring Boot), and build frameworks (Maven, Gradle)
- Knowledge of REST and experience in creating REST APIs
- Experience with a chosen database technology (e.g., Postgres DB) and event/queue systems (preferably Kafka)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
- Familiarity with good application design practices (e.g., clean code, DDD) and their implementation (e.g., TDD, BDD)
- Openness to learning new technologies
- Communicative skills and proficiency in English
- Experience working in a SCRUM team and supervising other developers
- Communicative and collaborative
Nice to Have
- Experience with frontend technologies (JS, TypeScript, Angular, React)
- Experience with public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) or private cloud (Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Knowledge of.NET environment
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven systems
