About the Role
This is a senior, business-facing IT role focused on delivering technology solutions that directly support key business needs. As a Principal Oracle Application Analyst, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, design, and implementation of technology solutions based on business requirements
- Work closely with business teams, developers, QA, DevOps, and end users to ensure successful delivery of systems
- Manage multiple complex projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile
- Be the Single Point of Contact for the Oracle Finance Modules and Finance Application Products
- Act as the SME, provide guidance, to IT Support, development, project, and integration teams
- Understand regulatory & compliance requirements and translate to the end-to-end systems
- Maintain consistency across functionality and processes globally
- Participate actively in the analysis, design, implementation, and support activities required to build a deliverable change based on a system requirement
- Analyze business processes, system integrations, and data flows to design optimal solutions
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for technical teams, guiding system design and performance improvements
- Gather and document detailed business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews
- Create key documentation such as business requirements, use cases, process maps, and gap analyses
- Validate feasibility of requested functionalities and ensure alignment with existing systems and data structures
- Collaborate with program management and business stakeholders to define priorities, scope, and budgets
- Present solutions and recommendations to non-technical audiences
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and implementation frameworks
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in IT / Technology roles, including enterprise applications or business analysis
- Proven experience leading end-to-end delivery of complex, global projects
- Excellent knowledge in the Oracle Finance modules (AP, AR, GL, etc.)
- Experience in Europe financial localizations / US GAAP / Vertex TAX Engine / is appreciated
- Experience with SAFT, EInvoicing, Ebook, VAT Reporting, and Digital Financial Reporting
- Proficiency in Oracle Applications R12 and preferably Oracle Fusion & Oracle SaaS
- Strong functional understanding of the systems supported and the development framework for customizations
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries and understand PL/SQL APIs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex systems, data structures, and business processes
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.)
- Technical understanding of application development (e.g. Java,.NET, JavaScript frameworks, databases, SQL, HTML/XML)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in mentoring or leading others
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment
- Previous exposure to large-scale, multinational system implementations is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
