Principal, Sol. Architect, AI

About the Position

We're seeking a Principal, Sol. Architect, AI to lead enterprise AI strategy within the IT Architecture team at EBRD in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise AI architecture and strategy
• Turn business needs into scalable AI solutions (GenAI, RAG, agents, ML)
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
• Oversee end-to-end delivery quality – from design to production
• Lead technology decisions (buy vs build, platforms, models)
• Embed Responsible AI (governance, explainability, compliance)
• Mentor teams and promote engineering excellence

Requirements

• Extensive Architecture experience in AI Projects
• Proven experience at leading application architecture or development through all lifecycle phases on several enterprise scale projects
• Proven experience at architecture or technical leadership of AI and ML systems
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML solutions in production
• Strong expertise in Agentic AI, Generative AI and LLMOps
• Experience with Azure AI ecosystem and modern cloud architectures
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
