Responsibilities
As a Principal, you will lead pre-deal engagements that bring together sector insight, commercial judgement, and clear, practical advice in situations where quality, pace, and precision matter. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading pre-deal commercial due diligence and related transaction support engagements for investors and management teams across technology-intensive sectors
- Shaping project scope, approach, and workplans, and guiding teams to deliver clear, well-evidenced advice under time-sensitive deal conditions
- Assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, growth potential, customer demand, business models, and commercial risks
- Translating complex analysis into clear conclusions and practical recommendations for senior client stakeholders
- Building trusted relationships with private equity, infrastructure investors, corporate clients, and management teams
- Contributing to business development, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and supporting senior client conversations
- Helping to develop our transaction support offer, including sector perspectives, analytical approaches, and reusable tools
- Coaching and supporting consultants and managers, creating an inclusive team environment where people can do their best work
- Working closely with colleagues across Analysys Mason to bring together relevant expertise from across our specialist areas
- Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the transaction support practice
Requirements
- Existing experience in strategy consulting, transaction support, commercial due diligence, corporate strategy, investment, or a closely related advisory role
- Strong understanding of technology-intensive sectors
- Ability to lead complex client engagements
- Judgement to turn analysis into clear recommendations for investors and management teams
