Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

As a Private Banker - Acquisition, you will be responsible for attracting new Private Banking clients in your region, with a particular focus on the segment of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and liberal professions. By doing so, you will contribute to the growth of our trading fund.

You will work closely with various Private Bankers to transfer new relationships. Additionally, you will collaborate with Sales & Service Officers who provide commercial support. You can also count on the expertise of Portfolio Managers and Wealth Analysis Planners – legal specialists in financial and succession planning. You will operate from our local ING Private Banking House in Hasselt.

Responsibilities

  • Attract new clients (families and entrepreneurs) with assets of more than 1 million euros through a holistic, tailored approach to protect and grow their assets.
  • Build your own external network and regularly participate in professional events to easily connect with relevant Private Banking prospects.
  • Client acquisition through regular participation in networking activities. Introduce your prospects to a colleague Private Banker, so they can further develop the relationship with your support once the client is on board. Additionally, support your colleague Private Bankers in their prospecting activities.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the various internal entities involved in Private Banking (Asset Management, Wealth Analysis and Planning) by working with employees from the regional commercial network and the Business Center.

Requirements

  • Commercial objectives are a motivation for you.
  • You are a born networker and a true team player. Social contacts give you energy.
  • You are a persister with a hunter profile, results-oriented, and enthusiastic.
  • You have very broad general knowledge to be able to communicate fluently about the activities and interests of (future) clients.
  • You hold a Master's degree (or equivalent by experience) and have at least 3 to 7 years of professional experience in investments and portfolio management with knowledge and interest in legal, financial, and fiscal matters.
  • Organizational skills for the administrative monitoring of the profession and its commercial and legal limitations.
