Our team is dedicated to creating innovative and reliable software products that meet the needs of our clients. We are currently seeking a Process automation DCS 800xA engineer to join our team.

About the Project

Be part of the Process and Batch Automation, which is a hybrid team comprising two teams of experts from the Process Automation and Manufacturing IT department. The Process and Batch Automation teams work together to translate process requirements into utility, Clean-in-place (CIP), and product manufacturing recipes (Master Batch Records (MBR)) for batch-based manufacturing processes for Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries. The team works on greenfield and brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on their application process solutions
• Conduct design, develop, program, commission, qualify, FAT, SAT, UAT, and Handover of applications for Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Interact with process experts and colleagues with expertise in surrounding systems and equipment like MES, Historian systems, instruments, production equipment, etc.
• Develop, optimize automation methods/strategies, share work knowledge with colleagues
• Form the basis of automation strategies and architectures to support sister departments

Requirements

• Degree within IT, engineering, or a related field
• 4 years of experience with PCS/DCS Application development (for example ABB 800xA, DeltaV, or ABB SattLine), working in GMP/GAMP environment or with execution of Automation projects
• Proficient spoken and written English
• Expertise in pharmaceutical process knowledge encompassing fermentation, purification, upstream, and downstream operations
• Proficiency in 800xA DCS programming with 5 years of documented experience
• Demonstrated expertise in 800xA Batch Management for 5 years
• Thorough understanding and application of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Documentation Practice)
• 4 years of documented experience in Testing FAT & SAT, Commissioning, and documentation work including protocols, test plans, and test references
• Proficiency in qualification and validation activities

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of S.88 and batch processes within the pharmaceutical industry
• 4 years of experience designing (Functions Specification) within pharmaceutical processes
• Familiarity with PCdeviceLib and PCequipmentLib from ABB 800xA
