Process Engineer

We are looking to hire a Process Engineer on-site at our McCormick Flavor Solutions facility located in Geneva, IL.

Responsibilities

• Providing process engineering support and project engineering guidance to filling, processing, and/or support departments under the direction of the Department Manager(s).
• Focus on cost reduction programs, process improvements, and engineering service requests as well as evaluation and recommendation of process capital improvements and automation. Critically analyzes processes/systems/practices to identify current gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Developing documents for the assigned area, including Formula reviews, Department Operating Procedures, line machinery training manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Control Procedures, and various run documents.
• Coaching and developing a team of Technicians to improve their skills and ensure uniformity across all departments.
• Supporting new plant start-ups with personal technical expertise and process team support.

Requirements

• Education: BS in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial preferred, Food Science.
• Experience: Minimally, one year of relevant production/engineering experience. Knowledge and experience with plant operations, packaging and processing equipment is required.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in the application of statistical methods.
  • Mastery in MS Office (Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Word).
  • SAP, Adobe Acrobat Writer, PLC, CAD system, and Shop Floor integration experience is a plus.

Base Salary: $63,500 - $108,000.00

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
