About the Role
The Risk Management unit in South America is seeking a proactive intern to join a fast-paced technical safety consultancy at the cutting edge of risk analysis techniques. This is a great opportunity to be part of a motivated team that is a trusted voice to tackle global transformations and challenges, helping our customers in achieving the safety of their assets and operations.
The Process Safety Intern will report to a Team Lead and have responsibility for supporting the technical delivery of projects under the guidance of more senior members of the team.
Responsibilities
- Support on technical report analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, Human factors, gas dispersion, fluid dynamics analysis, etc.)
- Support on safety improvements projects
- Support on development of CFD studies
- Support on explosion/fire calculation
- Knowledge on Process Safety discipline – very desirable
- Support on technical/administrative tasks, such as technical reports, presentations, statement capability, and others
- Digitalization mindset
Requirements
- Studying Chemical Engineering - graduation predicted to December 2028 onwards
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Advanced in Spanish (desired)
- Solid knowledge in office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proactive and critical thinking
- Digitalization oriented (Power BI, VBA, or Python are desirable)
- Team spirit
