Procurement Executive

About the Position

We are looking for a Procurement Executive/Buyer with 3-5 years of relevant experience to support procurement in Germany. This is a demanding, operationally focused junior role with responsibility for procurement in Germany. The goal is not only the sourcing of materials and services but also support with further administrative tasks such as licences and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a wide range of categories across the company, with a focus on indirect, non-stock items and services
• Creating and tracking purchase orders to ensure continuity of supply across all business areas
• Building, maintaining and further developing supplier relationships, including pricing and contract negotiations
• Maintaining accurate supplier and procurement data
• Working closely with operations and service teams to support the engineering teams in their delivery
• Supporting the German purchasing team with all day-to-day activities

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a procurement or buyer role
• Experience with SAP, ideally with the S/4HANA module, or another ERP system
• Excellent business-level English and strong communication skills; you have a confident manner and enjoy working with stakeholders at all levels and across all departments
• Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently
• Solid experience with MS Excel as well as all other Microsoft tools
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
• And above all: you are a team player, open-minded and have a positive attitude towards challenges
