Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are rebuilding the analytics function at Highcore from the ground up and are looking for a Product Analyst to serve as the primary analytical partner for our product team. We need someone who can independently formulate hypotheses, assist in designing A/B tests, dive deep into player behavior, and directly influence product decisions.

Our Vision

We are building a data infrastructure designed for a future where AI agents work alongside the team. Since tools will handle the bulk of the coding and data extraction, we expect depth of thinking from our analyst. You should look at the product through the eyes of an owner and understand the true drivers behind player behavior.

Responsibilities

Product Analytics (70%)

  • Analyze player behavior to uncover patterns and opportunities.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests: from hypothesis setting and sample size calculation to interpreting results and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Support feature launches: provide the analytics needed to evaluate new features, helping the team make decisions based on data rather than intuition.
  • Drive proactive insights: independently identify trends and anomalies rather than just reacting to incoming tickets.
  • Collaborate closely with Producers and Game Designers.

BI & Tooling (30%)

  • Build and maintain production-quality dashboards in Tableau.
  • Design and implement new analytical events within the product.
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of our internal analytical toolset.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Product or Data Analyst in the Gamedev industry.
  • Advanced SQL: Experience working with BigQuery.
  • A/B Testing Mastery: Proven experience designing and analyzing experiments, with a solid grasp of statistical functions, common pitfalls, and limitations. (We use GrowthBook).
  • F2P Metrics Fluency: You don't just know the definitions; you understand how metrics correlate and where one might mask a deeper issue in another.
  • Tableau: Ability to build clean, professional-grade dashboards.
  • Communication: Ability to synthesize complex data into simple, concise conclusions and recommendations for the CEO or Producer.
  • Git: Basic experience with version control for managing queries and analytical code.
  • AI-Native: You already use modern tools like Claude, Cursor, or similar to enhance your workflow.

Nice to Have

  • dbt Knowledge: Understanding data models and the ability to read/contribute to existing ones.
  • Python: Proficiency for analytical tasks (Pandas, visualization, automation).
  • Experimentation Platforms: Prior experience with GrowthBook or similar platforms.
  • AI Enthusiast: A genuine interest in AI agents and their practical application in a professional environment.

We Offer

  • Remote Work: Opportunity to work from anywhere in the world.
  • Professional Growth: Be part of a team that values depth of thinking and innovation.

About the Company

At Highcore, we are committed to building a future where data-driven decisions shape our products. Join us in creating a dynamic and forward-thinking environment where your analytical skills can make a real impact.
