About the Position

Product Counsel

Stockholm

TL;DR:

We're hiring a Product Counsel to help legal move at the speed the product ships: clearing features before they go live, making privacy true inside the product, and building the AI tools that let legal scale with the business. Zero risk equals zero growth here; your job is finding the workable path that keeps us shipping.

Why Lovable?

Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we’re just getting started.

We’re building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.

Lovable is one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognized on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with product and engineering teams to review features, integrations, and launches before they ship.
  • Handle privacy and AI issues inside the product, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
  • Own product-facing terms, including feature and beta terms, program terms, and user-facing communications.
  • Run our AI compliance mechanics, tracking EU AI Act transparency and content-marking duties.
  • Answer consumer and platform questions at scale, covering marketing claims, consumer protection, user-generated content, and moderation.
  • Back up commercial in enterprise deals, providing standard answers on training, retention, IP ownership, and hosting liability.
  • Build systems, not queues, by creating self-serve guidance, launch checklists, and AI agents that handle repeatable reviews.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience: Law degree and qualification in a major jurisdiction (EU member state, UK, or US), with 3 to 6 years of practice, including time counseling product or technology teams at or for a consumer-facing technology or SaaS company.
  • Launch judgment: Experience clearing products that millions use, under real deadlines, and the ability to walk through risk calls.
  • AI and privacy fluency: Applied GDPR inside a live product and handled real AI legal questions.
  • Consumer-scale instincts: Ability to write terms that hold against millions of users and handle consumer protection, content, and intermediary liability with confidence.
  • Pragmatic risk tolerance: Ability to recommend with 70 percent of the information and say what would change your mind.
  • Automation first: Daily use of AI tools to automate repeatable parts of the job.
  • High energy, fast to learn: Quick adaptation to new domains and unbothered by changing priorities.
  • Location: Stockholm, in office (relocation support provided). Comfortable with occasional US-hours overlap; fluent English required; Swedish not required.

Nice to Have

  • Platform or marketplace experience.
  • Open-source licensing depth (copyleft, patent exposure).
  • EU regulatory range beyond privacy (DSA, e-Privacy, EEA consumer law) or the US equivalents.
  • Growth mindset and enjoyment of using new tech.

We Offer

  • Be part of a fast-growing, influential company recognized by TIME, Forbes, and CNBC.
  • Work in a dynamic, talent-dense team with a culture of extreme ownership and high velocity.
  • Competitive compensation package (details not specified).
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact in the next era of software.

About the Company
