About the Position

We are looking for a curious and hands-on Junior Product Designer to join our team in Singapore. If you enjoy solving real user problems and bringing ideas to life, this is an exciting opportunity for you. At Axi, you'll contribute to the design of trading and payments experiences that are used by customers around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, user-centric experiences for web and mobile products by collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Senior Designers.
  • Prototype ideas quickly using modern AI-powered design tools such as Figma and other emerging technologies to explore concepts and validate user flows.
  • Participate in the end-to-end product design process-from discovery and wireframing through high-fidelity designs, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
  • Learn to design complete customer journeys across trading and payments experiences, including onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, trading, and account management.
  • Contribute to and maintain Axi's Design System by utilizing reusable components, design tokens, and established interaction patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, technically feasible, and implemented with high quality.
  • Consider edge cases, error states, accessibility, and usability throughout the design process to create trustworthy financial experiences.
  • Participate in design critiques, usability discussions, and collaborative workshops to continuously improve product quality.
  • Stay curious about emerging design trends, AI technologies, and best practices, bringing new ideas into the team's workflow.
  • Continuously learn and develop your product thinking, balancing user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and regulatory considerations.

Requirements

  • Around 2 years of Product Design or UX/UI Design experience, ideally designing digital products.
  • Experience within FinTech, Payments, Trading, Banking, or other transaction-based products is advantageous but not essential.
  • Genuine interest in designing products where accuracy, clarity, trust, and error handling directly impact customer outcomes.
  • Growing product mindset with an eagerness to understand business objectives alongside user needs.
  • Passion for learning modern design systems, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging product design practices.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
  • Curious, proactive, and open to continuous feedback and professional development.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering thoughtful user experiences.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience designing digital products using Figma or similar UI/UX design tools.
  • Understanding of interaction design, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Familiarity with Design Systems, component libraries, design tokens, and reusable UI patterns.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support research, ideation, content generation, prototyping, and design exploration.
  • Basic understanding of responsive design principles across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Awareness of frontend implementation concepts and willingness to collaborate closely with engineering teams.
  • Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, and accessibility.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design decisions and incorporate feedback effectively.

We Offer

  • 20 days annual leave per year.
  • 5 paid study leave per year.
  • 1 paid volunteer day leave per year.
  • Classpass subsidized membership.
  • Health and Dental Insurance for self and option to include dependents.
  • Extensive learning opportunities, such as professional training & certifications and soft skills development.
