Product Development & Industrialization Manager

About the Position

MyHomeGuardian is seeking a Product Development & Industrialization Manager who will be responsible for the full cycle of developing innovative protective films for glass - from idea and laboratory sample to pilot production, certification, and the launch of mass production.

We operate under the toll-coating model (through external manufacturing partners), so the key role of this position is to manage product development, coordinate manufacturing partners, and oversee all stages of bringing a new product to market.

Product Areas: Clear Safety Film, Dual-Reflective Privacy Film, Dual-Reflective + Safety Film, Security / Anti-Intrusion Film, Anti-Spall solutions for ballistic glass.

Responsibilities

• Formulate product strategy and roadmap for product development.
• Develop the design of multi-layer films, select materials (PET, PSA adhesives, hard coat, metallized and optical coatings).
• Organize the creation of laboratory samples, pilot batches, and production tests.
• Ensure the transition from prototype to mass production.
• Coordinate the work of material suppliers, manufacturing partners, and independent laboratories.
• Organize certification tests according to standards EN 12600, EN 356, EN 410 (and in the future - EN 1063).
• Conduct a durability testing program (UV aging, climatic tests, adhesion and optical properties stability).
• Participate in the creation of an internal laboratory base (mini-lab).
• Prepare technical documentation, datasheets, and installation instructions.
• Work with production and the commercial team to launch new products.
• Monitor deadlines, budget, and cost of development.

Requirements

• Higher technical education (material science, polymer chemistry, manufacturing technologies, or related fields).
• 5+ years of experience in Product Development, R&D, or Industrialization.
• Practical experience in bringing a physical product from laboratory to mass production.
• Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas: roll-to-roll coating; lamination; polymer films; pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA); optical coatings; safety/security glazing.
• Experience in interacting with manufacturing partners, suppliers, and testing laboratories.
• English language proficiency - Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
• Willingness to travel within Ukraine and Europe.

Nice to Have

• Experience in developing architectural, protective, or security films.
• Practical knowledge of standards EN 12600, EN 356, EN 410, EN 1063.
• Experience in conducting coating or lamination trials on industrial lines.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DoE, Control Plan, and modern quality management methods.

Goals for the First Year

• Develop Clear Safety Film and release the first pilot batch (Pilot Roll P1).
• Prepare the product for certification and pass preliminary tests according to the EN 12600 standard.
• Qualify key material suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Launch a durability testing program for products.
• Create a prototype of Dual-Reflective + Safety Film.
• Prepare the process for transferring Clear Safety Film to mass production.
