About the Position
Product Journey Manager Life Protection
NN and ING have established a joint insurance team known as the “One Orange Team,” aiming to become the fastest-growing digital insurance franchise in Belgium. This team covers Non-Life insurance solutions, Life insurance solutions, and, starting from 2024, Investment solutions. While most team members are part of the NN family, they are physically located at the ING premises and collaborate closely with ING’s Insurance and Investment Tribes. NN and ING have outlined an ambitious roadmap to become the leading player in Life Protection solutions. The Insurance Tribe offers insurance solutions and related digital and branch sales flows. As a Product Journey Manager, you will translate the roadmap and existing products into commercial storylines that can boost sales through both the ING branch network and online sales channels. You will work in an exciting, dynamic growth environment, allowing you to develop yourself while realizing projects that directly impact ING clients.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and execute new business development opportunities in the Belgian Life insurance market.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new digital Life insurance solutions, leveraging market trends and customer insights.
- Develop commercial storylines aligned with client needs.
- Create business cases of concepts for management validation.
- Understand and take ownership in the total commercial product delivery process, translating new initiatives and existing initiatives into tangible outcomes (trainings, sales scripts, communications, etc.), working hand in hand with go-to-market colleagues.
- Operate in an environment with multiple stakeholders: NN (Product, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance) and ING (Project Delivery, Marketing and Sales).
Requirements
- Passion for creating new value propositions and revenue streams in Life insurance.
- Hands-on experience with digital transformation in insurance and a strong business development mindset combined with project management skills.
- A master’s degree or equivalent by experience.
- Knowledge and affinity with Life Protection products (mortgages insurance, standalone death insurance, death insurance linked to loans, etc.).
- At least three years of experience in product management, or experience in a related domain (sales, operations, project management, marketing).
- Experience working in a bancassurance and/or digital environment is a plus.
- Good communication skills (English and knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong plus), strong communication skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levels.
