Responsibilities
As a Product Management Leader for Acacia, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with Engineering on managing and progressing product development projects as well as developing requirements and priorities.
- Partnering with Operations to enhance supply chain security, manufacturability, capacity ramp-up, and cost reduction.
- Leading the product through every stage of its life cycle, ensuring specs, quality, market timing, and profitability.
- Establishing clear product requirements and driving customer product documentation in collaboration with Engineering and Systems Applications Engineering.
- Overseeing all phases of the Product Life Cycle and ensuring successful Decision Reviews.
- Influencing strategic decisions on product and customer engagement, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in optical/electronic engineering, physics, or a related field with 12+ years of industry experience in product development, field application engineering, or product management.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in software, hardware, and/or optics engineering.
- Demonstrated experience understanding client optics and/or optical transceiver market and standardization.
- Demonstrated experience with full product life cycle process including product releases and return on investment analysis.
Nice to Have
- Business-level fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is strongly preferred.
- Significant background and experience in related engineering fields.
- Understanding of the role and implications of IEEE and OIF standards.
- Understanding of client optics applications and corresponding priorities.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience presenting to a technical audience.
- Experience in communicating a clear strategy and motivating team members.
We Offer
- Competitive Salary: Starting salary range from $191,400.00 to $281,400.00.
- Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance.
- Paid Time Off: 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, 4 paid days off for personal wellness, 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year for non-exempt employees, and flexible vacation time off program for exempt employees.
- Sick Time: 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next.
- Additional Time Off: Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
