Our global team is a diverse group of experienced engineers, traders, and brokerage professionals who are working to achieve our mission of opening financial services to everyone on the planet. We're deeply committed to open-source contributions and fostering a vibrant community, continuously enhancing our award-winning, developer-friendly API and the robust infrastructure behind it.
Alpaca is proudly backed by $400 million in funding from top-tier global investors including Portage Ventures, Spark Capital, Tribe Capital, Social Leverage, Horizons Ventures, Opera Tech Ventures, SBI Group, Derayah Financial, Unbound, Peak XV, Elefund, and Y Combinator.
Responsibilities
Alpaca is building the infrastructure layer that partners across the Gulf use to launch and scale brokerage products. We're expanding our footprint in Saudi Arabia and the UAE - with live market access, a growing regional roadmap, and ambitions across derivatives, direct connectivity, securities lending, and Sharia-compliant offerings. We're hiring a Product Manager to own that expansion end-to-end: define the strategy, ship the products, and work with regulators, partners, and internal teams to make Alpaca the brokerage platform of choice across the Kingdom and the wider GCC.
You'll be responsible for:
- Defining and driving new product initiatives and managing a portfolio of existing products across the Saudi and GCC markets.
- Shaping the product strategy that enables Alpaca to scale its brokerage infrastructure across the Kingdom and the wider Gulf region, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the region's rapidly evolving capital markets.
- Owning brokerage products tailored for the Saudi and GCC markets, including equities, Sukuk, ETFs, derivatives, and Sharia-compliant solutions.
- Driving brokerage product strategy by analyzing ROI, regional market competition, regulatory requirements, and build-vs-buy scenarios.
- Contributing to the product roadmap with a focus on CMA-compliant features, Sharia-compliant solutions, and regional market needs.
- Writing product requirements and working with engineers to execute programs that meet local regulatory and market standards.
- Improving brokerage operation efficiency by providing solutions and owning the metrics, with a focus on regional settlement, custody, and clearing workflows.
- Leading customer calls around brokerage process and product issues to gain insights and translate them into product improvements for GCC clients.
- Participating in engagements with the CMA, Tadawul, Edaa, and other regional regulators to drive product strategy and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Reporting timely and accurately on product status and results to internal and external stakeholders, including regional partners and institutional clients.
- Collaborating with local operations teams to ensure seamless integration between Alpaca's global platform and KSA/GCC market infrastructure.
Requirements
- Excited about what Alpaca is building and passionate about expanding financial infrastructure across the GCC.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, and/or starting a startup, preferably within financial services or fintech.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in brokerage, capital markets, or fintech within the Saudi or GCC region.
- Strong understanding of the CMA regulatory framework, Tadawul market structure, and GCC capital markets landscape.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English, both written and verbal, with excellent collaboration abilities.
- Business acumen to understand tradeoffs between stakeholders and technology feasibility with time and budget constraints.
Nice to Have
- Experience and background working on and developing brokerage products in the Saudi or GCC markets.
- Technical background working with APIs, particularly in financial services or trading platforms.
- CME-1 or other CMA-recognized professional certifications.
- Experience working with Qualified Foreign Investor (QFI) programs or cross-border investment products.
- Familiarity with Sharia-compliant product structures and Islamic finance principles.
- Experience working at a fintech, startup, or CMA-authorized institution.
We Offer
- Competitive Salary & Stock Options
- Health Benefits
- New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500
- Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card
