About the Position
Product Manager (Intercoms)
Ajax Systems, an international tech company and the largest manufacturer of security systems in Europe, is looking for a new team member to join our System Division as a Product Manager.
The System Division is responsible for building and developing the Ajax software ecosystem. The team develops and maintains OS Malevich and the Video Management System, builds scalable cloud infrastructure, and creates client applications for multiple platforms, ensuring that all system components work together as a unified ecosystem.
The division works with Java, Kotlin, Swift, C, C++, and Python. It includes embedded, cloud, mobile, and desktop engineers who ensure the stable operation of Ajax as a single digital platform.
Responsibilities
- Identify market and customer needs for intercom products and align them with the company’s mid and long-term goals.
- Research markets and competitors to ensure the best value proposition.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle - from ideation through launch, to continuous improvement.
- Take full ownership over the product vision, strategy, and roadmap of Ajax Intercom devices, features. Define and articulate them clearly with business and R&D stakeholders.
- Analyze and integrate feedback to refine product features and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prioritize a data-driven and feedback-driven approach in feature development, ensuring minimal risks and time to market.
Requirements
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different stakeholders.
- Empathy: Understanding and empathizing with users’ needs, frustrations, and expectations.
- Problem-solving skills: Strong critical thinking to quickly identify issues, analyze possible solutions, and make decisions that benefit the product and users.
- Adaptability & flexibility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly based on business needs and user feedback.
- Multitasking: Be ready to manage multiple products simultaneously.
- Curiosity & continuous learning: Being naturally curious and always willing to learn about the market, new technologies, or customer needs to stay ahead in product development.
- Market research & analysis: Knowledge of how to conduct market research, analyze competitors, and understand market trends to make informed product decisions, make a calculation of unit economy.
- Regulatory & compliance knowledge: Understanding of relevant industry regulations (e.g., GDPR for data privacy, legal, financial region diversity) that may impact the product’s design or functionality.
- Wireframing & prototyping: Experience with tools like Figma, or Miro to create low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes that communicate the intended design and functionality of the product.
Nice to Have
- Experience in building products from scratch.
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as sales, engineering, UX/UI, customer support, marketing.
- Pre-sale experience.
- Technical background.
- Experience in CCTV.
