Job description

About the Position

We are seeking a curious, driven, and thoughtful Product Manager Intern to join our Shopper Experience (Rewards) team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

If you want to understand how a consumer app earns daily engagement, there’s no better place to start than ShopX - and no better seat than product. ShopX owns the parts of the Sezzle app that shoppers use between purchases: the Rewards tab, and the community and engagement features that bring people back. The team sits at the intersection of consumer product, data, and partnerships, working with rewards and offer providers as well as Design, Data, Engineering, and Marketing across the company. As a product intern here, you won’t be watching from the sidelines. You’ll be in the room where decisions get made, picking up context fast and contributing to a team that ships and measures A/B tests every week.

You’ll support the product manager across a high-throughput environment: helping keep the backlog and idea board organized, digging into data to understand how shoppers discover and use the Earn and Shop experiences, and working alongside an efficient and technically sharp engineering team, as well as Design and Data. Product management is one of those rare roles where no two days look the same - you’re constantly context-switching between technical conversations, business problems, and user needs, and that’s exactly what makes it exciting.

Responsibilities

  • Backlog & Product Support

    • Assist the product manager in drafting, organizing, and tracking tickets and ideas on the ShopX product board, from early concepts through delivery. Help ensure work is well-documented, properly prioritized, and moving through the backlog. Follow up on status and surface blockers when needed.
  • Experimentation & Partner Support

    • Help prepare A/B test briefs, track live tests, and assemble readouts once results are in. Gather background context and summarize key information from multiple stakeholders, and prepare materials ahead of check-ins with rewards partners. Respond to routine internal questions by pulling the right information from available resources.
  • Engagement & Funnel Analysis

    • Learn and apply SQL to query mobile event and rewards payout data, and support the creation and maintenance of dashboards that track Earn tab visits, offer funnels, retention, and rewards paid out. Help flag anomalies in engagement or payout trends and assist in assembling data for reviews and investigations.
  • Documentation & Process Tracking

    • Maintain clear internal documentation for features, test results, and partner integrations. Help keep cross-functional teams and partners aligned with concise, well-structured written updates, including recurring partner performance readouts.
  • Agile Meetings

    • Participate in agile meetings and collaborate with engineering, design, data, marketing, and support teams. One of the most valuable things a product manager does is serve as a bridge between tech and the business - translating technical challenges into clear language and business needs into actionable requirements. You’ll get hands-on experience doing exactly that.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, Design, or a related field
  • A genuine interest in consumer mobile products, rewards and loyalty, and what makes people come back to an app every day
  • Natural curiosity and a logical mindset - you enjoy working through problems, aren’t afraid to ask questions, and get satisfaction from figuring things out
  • Strong attention to detail - you notice when something’s off and follow through until it’s resolved
  • Comfort working with data and a willingness to learn SQL; prior experience with SQL or A/B testing is a plus but not required
  • Effective written and verbal communication - you can summarize a complex topic clearly and ask the right questions to fill in gaps
  • Prior experience in internships, projects, or extracurriculars related to product, consumer apps, growth, data analysis, or startups is a plus - but we hire for potential, not just pedigree.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary of $2.800.000 COP monthly
  • Remote work options
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing team
  • Hands-on experience in product management and A/B testing
  • Exposure to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
