Job description
About the Position
Supervest is an alternative-investments fintech start-up actively hiring for a Product Manager in New York City. We're at a pivotal stage where strong engineering needs robust product direction. We're looking for a dedicated Product Manager to define our product requirements, create a long-term product roadmap, and ensure reliable systems for turning ideas into shipped features on a predictable timeline.
Responsibilities
- Review and Audit: Audit existing requirements, shipped features, and in-flight work across YES, Supervest, and Top Choice. Identify gaps and design choices that will force rework and resolve them in the spec before engineering starts.
- Build and Own the Roadmap: Create and maintain a 12 to 18-month roadmap for all three products. Sequence work so each release builds toward the product's future needs, map dependencies, and design for upcoming features.
- Own Product Requirements: Translate the company’s vision, user feedback, and regulatory constraints into clear, complete specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and success metrics.
- Run Delivery: Plan and run sprints, maintain the backlog, set realistic timelines, and keep a clear view of each engineer's tasks. Surface blockers early and keep the team moving.
- Technical Oversight: Understand what engineers are building at the level of architecture, data models, APIs, and integrations. Review technical designs, code changes, and test results.
- Accountability and Prioritization: Make commitments visible, track progress, and follow up on work that slips. Prioritize ruthlessly to balance user impact, technical effort, compliance requirements, and business goals.
- Leverage AI: Use AI tools to draft requirements, summarize feedback, generate test cases, and accelerate documentation and planning.
Requirements
- 3+ years in product management or a blended PM role, ideally at an early-stage startup.
- A track record of writing clear product requirements that engineers liked working from.
- Experience building and maintaining a multi-quarter product roadmap.
- Strong delivery instincts and technical fluency.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in your real workflow.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, lending, escrow, or another regulated, money-movement domain.
- Experience taking a product from pre-launch through its first real users.
- Experience managing outsourced or offshore engineering teams.
- A background in software engineering, QA, or solutions engineering.
- Familiarity setting up product/delivery tooling from scratch.
We Offer
- Competitive base salary range of $130,000-$150,000.
- Monthly/quarterly discretionary bonus tied to growth results.
- Full benefits package including 401(k) plan, health insurance, dental and vision insurance (fully covered), and paid time off (PTO).
