About the Role
The ANPR program is part of the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) of the Federal Police. The directorate is responsible for preparing policies and rules for information management and processing, developing the police information concept, establishing technical norms and standards, and implementing information and communication systems.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) uses intelligent cameras to recognize license plates. The system then compares these scanned plates with existing data (stolen or reported vehicles, access permissions to certain areas, etc.). Within the police, ANPR is used for public order, on-site intervention, traffic safety, and judicial assignments.
Within the ANPR@GPI ecosystem, there are various product components. After project delivery, the focus shifts to managing these products in RUN mode and their further evolution, often in co-creation with our suppliers and partners.
