About the Role

As a Product Owner Employee Benefits (EB), you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Employee Benefits strategy. You will represent the business for one or more key products and processes within the EB domain and act as the bridge between business and IT.

You will identify the needs of customers, distribution partners, and employees and translate these insights into digital solutions and process improvements that create value. You will drive the digitalization and innovation of our Employee Benefits offering and ensure that strategic objectives are translated into concrete initiatives, features, and improvements.

By combining customer focus, business insight, and digital expertise, you will contribute to an outstanding customer and partner experience while helping NN achieve its Employee Benefits ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and priorities for one or more key products and processes within the Employee Benefits product(s)
  • Identify opportunities to improve and digitalize customer, partner, and employee journeys
  • Translate business needs, customer feedback, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives into clear features, epics, and user stories
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Agile teams, architects, Domain Leads, and other Product Owners
  • Work with product developers, operations teams, customer service teams, distribution partners, and portfolio managers to shape and deliver solutions
  • Support Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Validate delivered solutions and ensure they meet business requirements and expected customer outcomes
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams and facilitate collaboration between all stakeholders involved
  • Contribute actively to transformation initiatives and digitalization projects that support the Employee Benefits strategy
  • Monitor market trends, customer expectations, and technological developments and translate them into improvement opportunities
  • Ensure sufficient alignment with business stakeholders and manage expectations in a transparent way

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in product ownership, digital transformation, customer journey redesign, project management, or business transformation
  • Strong affinity with financial services and preferably knowledge of the insurance sector and Employee Benefits
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within a SAFe framework
  • Experience managing initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance long-term vision with short-term delivery
  • Customer-focused mindset and end-to-end thinking
  • Autonomous, hands-on, and results-driven
  • Fluent in Dutch, French, and English
  • Enthusiastic team player who can bring people along in change
