About the Position

As a Senior Product Owner, you play a key role within a large-scale transformation programme, driving the evolution of non-life insurance applications. You combine hands-on product ownership with coordination of other Product Owners, contributing to a structured and future-proof digital landscape.
You will work at a leading Belgian insurance organisation operating in a cooperative and purpose-driven environment. The company is undergoing a significant IT transformation to modernise its life insurance landscape, including pension, savings, and investment products. You will be part of a cross-functional environment with close collaboration between business and IT teams across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Define and manage the backlog for life insurance applications.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable user stories.
- Prioritise features based on business value and stakeholder input.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and development teams.
- Ensure alignment between product vision and delivery execution.
- Support agile ceremonies and guide the team throughout sprints.
- Contribute to the broader transformation programme with a structured approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent through experience.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
- Experience within financial services, preferably in insurance.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Structured approach and ownership of deliverables.
- Comfortable working in a complex transformation environment.
- Collaborative team player with a pragmatic mindset.
