ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals. We operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
The Mission
An important program within ING is the implementation of Non-Financial Risk applications, especially for Compliance. In the squads, applications for Compliance will be onboarded and maintained. The projects for which we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst are vendor-supplied applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the requirements are complete, consistent, of good quality, that they are translated correctly in the design, and that they are maintained and, if necessary, adjusted if changes occur.
- Participate in managing the backlog by prioritizing and translating the epics into features and, together with the squad, into user stories.
- Analyze the current situation, the problems that occur, and the underlying causes. Based on this analysis, provide clear process designs.
- Analyze the necessary input, output, and adjustment of data in the client processes. Analyze the information need. Investigate the quality of the captured data and come up with solutions to improve quality.
- Translate the policy and regulation of ORM, Compliance, and Legal into design solutions.
- Stay in close contact with the Non-Financial Risk, Compliance community in almost all countries where ING is currently active.
- Together with your team, be responsible for stable and maintainable NFR and Compliance applications platforms.
- Give direction to the squad consisting of Business Analysts, IT Developers, and IT OPS staff ensuring the implementation, roll-out, and maintenance of the application.
- Have the overall view and work with your squads to reach the ultimate goals.
- Ensure coordination between IT, functional stakeholders, and vendor to customize/configure and implement the application.
- Lead your teams with short-term objectives and pro-actively align with a wide array of internal and global stakeholders.
- Perform backlog management and oversee priorities, considering both business requirements and the vendor’s implementation strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
- Relevant project and banking experience as Senior Business Analyst or Product Owner/Proxy Product Owner, with affinity on the functional side and knowledge of the Compliance domain.
- Good communicator and able to build bridges between multiple stakeholders. Convincingly put forward proposals, challenge and convince, and be a real team player in reaching broad agreement on the road to follow.
- Experience with solutions developed with external vendors – a good understanding of the particularities, as the local team has also functional admin function.
- Basic/good understanding of the concepts of data feeds, data model, process modeling (BPMN).
- Experience with the testing process – good understanding of the different types of testing (progression, non-regression, INT, UAT), can elaborate test scenarios in support of INT/UAT, and can perform testing if necessary.
- Familiar with Release Management concepts (minor, major, release notes, etc.).
- Project management abilities, setting priorities, and steering activities.
- Practical experience working agile – understand and support the agile way of working in cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Experience in supporting the rollout of modules/solutions towards multiple entities.
