About the Role

Your Area of Work: Product Management

The Product Management department is responsible for the professional development of our applications such as the electronic patient record (ePA), the electronic prescription (E-Rezept), or digital communication solutions (KIM/TI-Messenger). The further development of the technical platform and access to it also falls within the scope of Product Management. Our goal? To noticeably improve the impact of care through digital products.

As a Product Manager at gematik, you will shape the digital healthcare system - primarily by bringing people, legal framework conditions, and technical requirements together. You are the central interface between users, departments, technical teams, and decision-makers. Through your communication skills, you ensure that complex requirements are understood, coordinated, and successfully translated into digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You identify needs, challenges, and expectations of various stakeholders and make them understandable and usable for all parties involved.
  • You translate complex requirements into clear use cases and user stories.
  • You mediate confidently between professional, organizational, and technical perspectives and create a common understanding.
  • You work closely with architects, development teams, and other departments, ensuring clear communication across team boundaries.
  • You represent your topics in committees, working groups, and to decision-makers. You moderate discussions, bring together different interests, and develop viable solutions.
  • You create acceptance for changes and support important decisions communicatively.
  • You design and moderate workshops and lectures at events and trade fairs. Together with our communications team, you create information materials and FAQs.
  • You support the implementation and evaluation of market trials and contribute your knowledge to the success of these projects.

Your Profile

  • Education: You have successfully completed a degree or vocational training, for example (but not exclusively) in business, social, health, or public health sciences.
  • Experience: You bring at least three years of professional experience in a comparable field. Working with different stakeholders, committees, or networks is nothing new to you.
  • Tool & Method Skills: You have practical experience in the analysis and development of requirements, concepts, and process models, and you optimally combine your IT know-how with your knowledge of the healthcare system.
  • Work Style: You are very good at organizing and coordinating. You have a pronounced analytical and conceptual mindset and are able to communicate complex issues in a target group-appropriate manner. Your working method is structured and solution-oriented. You have a hands-on mentality, like to proceed purposefully, and can at the same time react flexibly to changes.
  • Personality: You want to shape and drive digitalization in healthcare with firm conviction. You are communicative, empathetic, and responsible. You act confidently and enjoy working in a team.
  • Language: You have very good German and English language skills in speech and writing.
  • You do not meet all the requirements? No problem, apply anyway! We review each application individually and look forward to getting to know your unique skills and experiences.

What We Offer

  • Job with Purpose: We are giving the healthcare system an update – think with us about digital health.
  • Perspective & Development: The position is limited to one year with the option of extension. We offer you diverse opportunities for personal and professional development – through individual training, our gematik CAMPUS, workshops, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Agile Work Environment: We focus on cross-departmental exchange and collaboration in cross-functional teams. Joint learning and the joy of working are at the forefront.
  • Benefits: In addition to an attractive salary, we offer you 30 days of vacation as well as additional days off on December 24th and December 31st, health and sports offers, a subsidy for the Germany Ticket, employee events, corporate benefits, and much more.
  • Mobile Work: Mobile work within Germany is possible, as well as up to a 30-day workation in European countries (EU, EEA, Switzerland).
  • Work-Life Balance: The compatibility of private life and work is important to us, so you can shape your working hours flexibly. We are flexible and take your individual needs into account, including re-entry after parental leave – preferably in part-time, if it suits you.

About Us

We want to make a difference – are you in? We ensure that over 80 million people in Germany can benefit from digital healthcare. You may already know some of our products, such as the E-Rezept or the electronic patient record (ePA). Shape the healthcare system of tomorrow with us.
