Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 - SQL.
• Manage projects and incidents, with a strong focus on analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Optimize database queries for overall performance improvement.
• Monitor transaction volumes, response times, and concurrency levels.
• Implement and manage database backup systems.
• Provide support to development teams with recommendations and best practices.
• Audit the platform's status and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2 - SQL, CHANGEMAN, CONTROL-M, CICS, TSO, VSAM, ALTAMIRA.
• Experience in loans, metrics, and information quality.
• Proficiency in Jira.
• Experience in developing online transactions.
• Knowledge and experience in managing projects and incidents in Altamira.
• Design high-availability solutions for database managers.
• Manage incidents and problems.
• Migration, upgrades, and patching of databases.
• Optimization of queries for general performance improvement.
• Recovery of data from backups.
• Support development teams with recommendations and best practices.
• Review and design maintenance plans and scheduled tasks.
• Audit the platform's status and recommend improvements.
• Experience in the banking sector.
• Experience with BBVA tools and processes (preferably).
• Experience and management of interaction with user areas.
• Effective communication within the team.
• Autonomous, proactive profile with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
