About the Position
Project Engineer – Software Infrastructure Applications
Brainlab, a leader in health technology for over 35 years, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our software infrastructure applications team. This role is pivotal in managing and executing projects within the software infrastructure domain, ensuring our innovative products are efficiently developed and integrated.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute small projects within the software infrastructure domain
- Actively drive and support the product development process across the full lifecycle
- Take ownership of software risk management activities
- Coordinate, define, and execute verification and validation activities
- Collaborate closely with software developers to write specifications and define test strategy
- Generate ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure components
- Update, maintain, and improve technical and support documentation
Requirements
- Technical university degree in (software) engineering, medical informatics, physics, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in the design and/or development of medical devices
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for medical devices
- Familiarity with working according to design control processes
- Well-organized, proactive, and structured working style
- Flexibility and solution-oriented thinking
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- High affinity for computers, networks, and modern technology
- Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail
- Fluent written and spoken English
