Project Manager and/or Project Engineer for Power Transmission/Distribution Projects

GOPA Tech GmbH, a part of GOPA Consulting Group, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager and/or Project Engineer to join our Power System Team. Contribute to technical, commercial, and acquisition-related tasks, focusing on high voltage transmission and distribution projects globally, with a special emphasis on Africa.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Power System Team on technical, commercial, and acquisition-related tasks.
• Manage consultancy projects during implementation and/or support the full bidding stage for high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
• Provide technical and project management expertise for studies, design, tendering, and implementation of high voltage infrastructure projects.
• Focus on EHV and high voltage transmission lines, substations, SCADA, dispatching systems, and distribution projects.

Requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering preferred; other engineering degrees may also be considered.
• Proven professional experience in a similar role, preferably in consultancy and/or EPC companies or utilities:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience for the Project Manager position.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience for the Project Engineer position.
• Experience in power transmission and/or distribution projects, including transmission lines, substations, SCADA, or dispatching systems.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, and French is an advantage.
• Communicative, responsible, ready to travel abroad, and an advanced user of MS Office.
• Innovative mindset, eagerness to learn new technologies, and willingness to take up challenges.
