GOPA Tech is searching for a Project Manager to lead the execution of a landmark 1800 MW Solar PV Project in the UAE, financed by international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Design: Preparing and overseeing comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Leading and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among engineers, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Budget & Cost Management: Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and implementing robust cost-control measures to ensure efficiency and accountability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with UAE and international regulations, including timely acquisition of permits and approvals.
• Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Upholding the highest quality standards throughout all project phases, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Risk Management: Proactively identifying project risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, government bodies, contractors, and suppliers.
• QHSE Leadership: Promoting a culture of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment excellence and ensuring adherence to all relevant standards.

Requirements

• Accredited University Graduate Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the photovoltaic (PV) sector, with a strong background in utility-scale solar projects.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within consulting organizations.
• Prior project experience in the Middle East is highly preferred.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent; solar-specific certifications are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and complex stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of QHSE standards and best practices.
• Experience with internationally financed projects.
• Full professional proficiency in oral and written English.
